For single sites

Doors for the rooms that need protecting

Stockrooms, cash offices, rear service doors, plant rooms and secure stores: each opening measured, each door made to it and rated to what it protects.

  • Made to the measured opening, so the wall stays as it is
  • Rated to the risk, from attack resistance to bullet resistance
  • Panic hardware, break-glass release and access control specified with the door

The problem

The weak point is usually the door

  • 01

A door that is only a door

Standard doors on a secure room are the weak point. Rated doors are tested against a defined level of attack.

  • 02

    Openings that are never standard

Older stores and units rarely take a catalogue size. Each door is made to the measured opening, so the frame fits without rebuilding the wall.

  • 03

The same door on every site

A roll-out across many premises needs one contractor and one specification, not a different supplier in every region. Made in one workshop to one drawing, the last door matches the first.

  • 04

A secure door still has to let people out

Panic hardware, break-glass release and access control are specified with the door and fitted with it, not added afterwards.

FAQs

Can you handle a roll-out across all our sites?

Yes. We already fit doors across large retail estates. Every door is made in our Edenbridge workshop to one specification and fitted UK-wide, with one point of contact for the whole programme.

Do you cover the whole country?

Yes. The doors are made in our Edenbridge workshop and fitted UK-wide, so a programme across many sites gets one specification.

What do LPS 1175 and EN1627 mean?

Both rate how well a door resists a forced attack. Our doors are made to LPS 1175 SR1 and A1 ratings and to EN1627, and our bullet-resistant doorset to BS EN 1522 FB4. The rating you need follows your risk assessment and, for many clients, their own standards.

Do you make them yourselves?

Yes. Doorsets are fabricated in our Edenbridge workshop to the measured opening.

Can you supply doors without fitting them?

Yes. We supply doorsets on their own for your installers, or supply and fit them.

Can the door work with access control?

Yes. Card readers, panic hardware and break-glass release are specified with the door and fitted with it, so the door secures the room and still lets people out.

Why MerFen

One firm makes it, fits it and keeps it working

Most installers fit what a manufacturer sells them. We make the physical side ourselves, so the specification starts with the site.
