Security screens and counters
Pay windows PW1 to PW4

What is the difference between PW1, PW2, PW3 and PW4?
PW1 has natural speech through the mullions and no tray. PW2 adds a cash packet tray, 110mm deep. PW3 has a 75mm audio tray with electronic speech enhancement and a hearing loop. PW4 pairs a 25mm shallow document tray with the audio system. PW3 and PW4 need a 13amp socket.
What does BS EN 356 P4A mean?
It is a rating for manual attack. The glass is struck three times by a 4.11kg steel ball dropped from 9 metres, and the ball must not pass through. It holds against someone hitting the glass or throwing things at it. It is not a bullet-resistant rating.
Can a pay window be fitted in an external wall?
Not this range: the PW builds are for internal counters. For serving through an external wall, for example at a forecourt or a 24-hour pharmacy, use the flush-fit external pay window.
Are pay windows made to size?
Yes. The apertures on the tech sheets are our standard, and each window is made in our Edenbridge workshop to the opening you have. We supply only, or supply and install.
Why MerFen
One firm makes it, fits it and keeps it working
Most installers fit what a manufacturer sells them. We make the physical side ourselves, so the specification starts with the site.
