When does a counter need a speech transfer system?
When a security screen or a noisy room makes it hard for staff and customers to hear each other. The MF009 and MF010 are designed for medium noise environments where a standard speech system struggles.
What is the difference between the MF009 and MF010?
The MF010 has a higher bridge bar between the speakers. It clears pass-through apertures and works at Equality Act (2010) counter heights.
Can staff use a headset?
Yes. Both have a headset facility, and the clerk side can have a wireless option. VESA mounting is available for gooseneck mounts.
Is this the same as a Melaphone?
No. The MF009 and MF010 use speakers and microphones on each side of the counter. A Melaphone is a counter intercom that carries speech through a transparent diaphragm, with no opening in the screen, which suits pharmacies and surgeries. We supply both, and Melaphones are covered on our counter audio page.
Why MerFen
One firm makes it, fits it and keeps it working
